Cookie policy

Last updated: 11 July 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar storage that Window Replacement Quotes uses. A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. We keep this to a minimum — we do not use advertising cookies from other companies unless and until tag-based tagging is switched on, as noted below.

First-party attribution cookies

When you arrive from an advert or search result, we set first-party wml_* cookies to remember which campaign referred you, so that if you submit the quote form your enquiry is attributed to the correct advert. These are set on your first landing, are readable only by this website, use SameSite=Lax; Secure, and expire after 90 days.

CookiePurposeExpiry
wml_utm_source, wml_utm_medium, wml_utm_campaign, wml_utm_term, wml_utm_content Remember the marketing campaign, medium and search term that referred you (the UTM values from the landing URL). 90 days
wml_gclid, wml_fbc, wml_fbp and similar click-ID cookies Store advertising click identifiers so an enquiry can be attributed to the advert you clicked. 90 days
wml_landing_url Remembers the first page you arrived on, sent with your enquiry. 90 days

The same values are also mirrored into your browser’s localStorage (using wml_ keys) so attribution survives if you leave and return. Where present, we may also read standard analytics or advertising cookies that your browser already holds (such as _ga or _fbp) to derive these identifiers.

Tag manager and analytics

A Google Tag Manager container is included in the site but is switched off by default. If and when it is enabled, it may set additional analytics or advertising cookies (for example Google Analytics’ _ga and _ga_<id>). We will update this policy to list them at that point.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings, and clear localStorage from the same privacy controls. Blocking these cookies will not stop you using the site or submitting the form — it only affects how accurately we can attribute your enquiry to a campaign.

For how we use the information collected, see our privacy policy.
